Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Mama Barba's Bake Shop is based in Franklin, Massachusetts. At this time, all order pick-ups are available by appointment only.
Do you offer shipping?
Unfortunately, shipping is not offered at this time. All cookies for pre-sales, pop-ups and custom orders must be picked up in person.
How much do your cookies cost?
All full size cookies (~3.5") start at $5.50 each and all mini cookies (1.5"-2") start at $2.75 each. All cookies will come individually heat sealed in cellophane bags for freshness. These prices are for custom orders only. Holiday presale cookie pricing may differ.
Is there a minimum order required?
No minimum order is required.
What flavor are your cookies?
My signature cookie flavor is Vanilla Sugar with fresh citrus Royal Icing. I also offer Chocolate Sugar cookies upon request.
How long do your cookies stay fresh?
My individually heat-sealed cookies should stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. I like to say that if you're not going to be eating the cookies within a week, to freeze them for maximum freshness. See below on how to freeze your cookies.
Can you freeze decorated cookies?
Yes! My cookies freeze very well! Often times people will freeze the cookies if I am unavailable for the exact date they'd like. To freeze the cookies you will very carefully place them in a tub or Ziploc bag (if using a Ziploc bag I recommend putting a cookie sheet under it for stability). Rather than stacking them on top of one another, try stacking them on their sides. If your cookies are packaged in a box you can simply leave them in there and put the box in the freezer. You will then take them out of the freezer the night before you'll be needing them. DO NOT open the container or Ziploc bag until the cookies are completely thawed. This is the most important step, opening the container may cause condensation and will ruin the cookies. I generally say to just take them out of the freezer the night before your event and leave them out until morning.
How far in advance should I place my custom order?
I typically book 2-3 months in advance, so the sooner the better! If you need cookies sooner or are wondering about my availability, head to the Custom Orders page to submit a request. I'll get back to you soon to discuss details and availability.
Do you offer gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free etc.. cookies?
Unfortunately, I do not at this time.
Do you deliver?
No, I do not.
When is payment due?
A 50% Deposit is due upon ordering. Cookie orders are not booked/added to my calendar until a deposit has been paid. Final payment is due on day of pickup.
Do you offer refunds?
I am able to refund and cancel your cookie order up to 14 business days prior to your pick up date. No refunds will be given for cookies that have already been made, this includes holiday cookies. Any holiday cookies that are left 24 hours after the pickup times have ended will be forfeited with no refund unless other arrangements have been made with me.
